Israel, the land of Jesus’ birth
But now, there is no Jesus in Israel

Just as the bible foretold,
the Jewish people are miraculously returning to Israel
two thousand years after their exile.

This film documents the difficult reality of the Messianic Jews
who were violently persecuted by Orthodox Jews
for their faith in Jesus.
It also showed the world that
there is an increasing number of Messianic Jews
holding on to their faith in the land.

While awakening the church to the spiritual
condition of the nation of Israel,
the film also won the “Grand Prize” for Best Documentary
at the 5th Monaco Charity Film Festival in 2010.

Jesus' hometown, Israel

Where there are people being persecuted for believing in Jesus today by the orthodox Jews who reject Christ. They are the Messianic Jews. Their suffering and persecution keeps worsening.
Why is the intensity of persecution towards them becoming worse?
That’s because the number of Jews that accept Jesus as the son of God and our savior is increasing.

Why is the number of believers increasing? It’s because Israel is being restored as foretold in the bible. Why do Jews reject Jesus? Jesus ignored the laws the Jews so wanted to keep. An exemplification of this was when Jesus healed the sick on the Sabbath.

The Jews then crucified Jesus and that truth incurred the wrath of Christians all around the world, and for 2000 years of the Diaspora, the Jews received persecution. The worst of all was when a great number of people were Holocaust by Nazi Germany. These historic events deep-rooted hatred for Jesus in the hearts of the Jews.

Plot

On March 20, 2008 at 2:30 PM, during the festival of Purim, a mysterious gift was delivered to David Ortiz’ home located in Ariel – a city in Israel. Their 16 year old son, Ami Ortiz, carried the gift basket inside the house not knowing what exploded. The force of the bomb not only gruesomely blew Ami’s body but also hit the car parked outside the house. Who could have sent this formidable bomb and why it sent to this family? They request our concern and prayers of intercession. This is a Christian documentary showing us the spiritual state of Israel today: They are spiritually blind and do not accept Jesus as Messiah.

Messianic Jews that believe in Jesus

In Israel, those who believe in Jesus as the Messiah are called Messianic Jews: There are currently an estimated number of 20,000 Messianic Jews out of the 6.5 million Jewish population; because their belief is contradictory to Jewish tradition, they must hide and face many difficulties in their Christian lives.
